Drive moderately P,R,N, D3 and D5 available Ranges may be engaged without depressing parking brake. The root cause of the problem is the part that looks like the one below. Is there anything I can do myself to try and diagnose the cause without sending it to the dealers who will no doubt want a few hundred quid to look at it! I hope you will handle it. I've been told that throughout the day the computer systems will ping each other and kind of make status reports. The only fix is to replace the converter. The plastic eventually cracks, ones the plastic cracks the oil pressure is not sufficient to be transferred from mechatronic unit to the transmission itself. Or perhaps it is getting clogged again and has now reverted to the area you spoke of? Just wondering if these sound like the symptoms of the brake switch failure.
